Great Rooms
The room was great - cracking view of the World Cup stadium - and we enjoyed chilling out on the roof. We ate at both 1800 and Geisha and both were among the best meals we had in South Africa. My wife also had a complimentary massage which she said was among the best she'd ever had. Yet it is the staff who make this place special, nothing is too much trouble for any of them. The Cape Royale was the perfect place to start our holiday and we both recommend it highly and look forward to returning (hopefully sooner rather than later).

Quick Check In
Check-in was swift, and upon being shown round our room I commented that it was a shame the one-bed suite didn't have a bath as we obviously bath the little ‘un every night. A few hours later we were upgraded to a two-bed suite which was absolutely brilliant - the extra space really making a difference.

Great Service
Right from the off the service was excellent - as we were due to land at 6.45am I emailed the hotel in advance to see if we could check in early, even if we had to pay a supplement as we were travelling with an eight-month-old. We were told that the room would be ready, at no extra cost, and were delighted to find out it was when we arrived at 8am after a long flight.

Good rate
We were lucky to get an excellent rate via expedia in late January.

Booked On line
It's never easy surfing the net to find a hotel, but rest assured when you go to Cape Town look no further than Cape Royale - an all suites hotel. Don't be put off. at the mention of 'suites'. We stayed with our 2 grown up daughters in a 2 bed suite and the rates were comparable to booking 2 rooms in another 5* hotel, but the suite made the difference! Luxury and a huge amount of space with large dining area and lounge, together with a fully fitted kitchen and excellent bathrooms in each bedroom with very high quality amenities.
The hotel is new and keen to please. The staffs are amongst the friendliest and most helpful we have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling!! It is centrally located at just 5mins walking to the famous V&A waterfront and the hotel offers free limousine drop off/pick up within a few kms of the hotel - you can leave the car in the guest parking area.
The only downside is the traffic noise if the windows are open, but the main living area and bedrooms each have their own aircon controls so no need to open the window - other than to take some great pics! In total, we stayed 9 nights there - superb!
Cape Royale is a real gem in the country of natural gems!!
